Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1Who we are

This policy covers the Wedora app, the guest RSVP pages (rsvp.wedoraweddings.com) and this website. Wedora is operated in North Macedonia by IAPPIX, which decides how your personal information is used. Contact: info@wedoraweddings.com. We handle privacy requests by email.

2What we collect and why

  • Account: your email and name, plus a password if you sign up with email. With Apple or Google sign-in we receive your email and, from Apple on first sign-in, your name. Why: to create and secure your account.
  • Wedding planning: date, partner names, guest count, budget, tasks, guest list with RSVP answers, and the partner invite code. Why: to provide the planning tools.
  • Vendors: favourites, messages, and appointments, reservations or orders, including what the vendor records about you as a client. Why: so you can contact and book vendors. Vendors keep what you send them.
  • Usage analytics: which features are used, with technical details (section 5). Why: to improve the app and fix problems.
  • Technical data: our providers see your IP address when you connect.
  • Push notifications: if you allow them, your operating system gives the app a device token that stays on your device. In this version it is not sent to Wedora.

The app does not read your location and has no advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not use your data for advertising. Your account details are needed to provide an account; everything else is optional. We make no automated decisions that significantly affect you.

Guests who open an RSVP link need no account. They say how many will attend and may add a comment; the couple sees the reply. The RSVP page also records two usage events (page viewed, answer sent; numbers only) under a random device ID and sends them to PostHog. Guests have no setting for this, and we cannot link these events to a person.

3This website

There is no account and there are no forms. If you email us, we receive your address and message. We set no analytics or advertising cookies. Vercel hosts the site and a web font loads from Google, so both receive your IP address.

4Why we may process it

  • To provide the app you ask for (contract).
  • To keep the service secure and answer your requests.
  • To understand feature use (legitimate interest, with the opt-out in section 5).
  • Consent, where you give it, for example for notifications.

5Usage analytics and your controls

The app records a fixed set of events (for example, which feature was opened) with a random device ID and, when you are signed in, a random account ID, not your name or email. Free text is filtered out, and screen recording and automatic capture are off. These IDs are pseudonymous, not anonymous. Events go to our database (Supabase) and to PostHog (EU).

Collection is on by default. Turn it off in Profile → Settings → Privacy → “Share usage data”. Partner accounts that joined with an invite code do not see this screen yet; email us instead.

6Who processes your information

  • Supabase: database, sign-in and storage, hosted in Ireland.
  • PostHog: usage analytics, EU cloud in Frankfurt.
  • Apple and Google: only if you sign in with them.
  • Vercel: hosts the website and RSVP pages.
  • Resend: sends the invitation email when a vendor invites you.
  • Vendors you contact receive what you send them.

We do not sell personal information. Providers act for us, and we expect them to protect your data as described here. These companies are based outside North Macedonia, so some access may happen outside the European Economic Area. Supabase, Vercel and Resend apply the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (see their published terms); Apple and Google act under their own terms. Ask us for the terms of any provider.

7Retention and deletion

Delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete account. Today this means:

  • Deleted when you confirm: your account, wedding, guest list, RSVP answers, tasks, budget, favourites, messages, partner link and profile. Email us if you want confirmation.
  • Vendor records linked to your account: bookings, orders and client records are deleted with your account.
  • Usage events in our database: not deleted. They stay under a pseudonymous ID with no time limit. Once your account is gone we hold nothing that connects the ID to you, so we cannot find them. To have them removed, email us before you delete your account and we will delete them from our database.
  • PostHog: not deleted with your account. It keeps events under the same ID according to our PostHog retention setting. We cannot currently promise to delete PostHog data on request.
  • Apple and Google: deleting your account does not remove Wedora from your Apple or Google settings. Remove it there (Apple: Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple; Google: Google Account → third-party apps).
  • Backups: No automatic database backups are set up, so no scheduled backup copy keeps deleted data.
  • Emails you send us: kept until we delete them manually; no fixed period.
  • Automatic expiry: none in our own database (Supabase). PostHog applies its retention setting.

8Security

Connections are encrypted and database rules keep each account’s planning data separate. Your sign-in is stored in your device’s secure storage. No service is completely secure.

9Your rights

In the app you can edit your details, turn off usage sharing, revoke device permissions and delete your account. You can also ask us for access, correction, deletion, restriction, a portable copy, or to stop using your data, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@wedoraweddings.com from your account address. We reply within one month (up to two more months if the request is complex, with reasons). It is free unless requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive. These rights do not reach events we cannot link to you. If we cannot act, we will say why; you can lodge a request with the Personal Data Protection Agency of North Macedonia (azlp.mk) or seek a court remedy.

10Children

Wedora is a wedding-planning service and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect children’s information; if you think a child has given us some, email us and we will delete it.

11Changes

We will update the date above and tell app users about significant changes in the app or by email.
